Skelmersdale United face a weekend of travel of nearly 400 miles as they venture down the M6 to face Rushall Olympic on Saturday and Stourbridge on Monday evening
Rushall currently sit 3rd in the table a point behind leaders Whitby Town, It will be a tough game for United as they look to build on two Cup defeats in the last week
Tommy Lawson should be bouyed by a "Full strength squad at a ground where they do reasonably well.
On Monday evening they again travel South to Stourbridge, sitting mid table Stour will again be another tough venue for Tommy Lawson and Tony Sullivan to pit their wits.
Rushall Olympic Saturday 5th November Kick Off 3pm
Dales Lane, Rushall, Walsall, WS4 1LJ
Rushall is a former mining village about 3 to 4 miles north of Walsall. You reach it by travelling along the Walsall Ring Road turn off left and continuing for 3-4 miles. Walsall at home to Macclesfield in the FA Cup on the day, so the roads will likely be busy
The route for the majority of the way is very simple, head down the M6 until you pass Hilton Park Services.
Leave the M6 at Junction 10, then at the Roundabout take the 1st Exit on the A454.
After around 1.5 miles, at some traffic signals (presume lights) carry straight on onto the A4148
After about 0.8 miles at a set of traffic lights turn left onto the A461 (I believe this is called Litchfield Street)
*****Apparently there are radar cameras long this road*****
After around 1.2 miles at traffic lights turn right into Daw End Lane, this should numbered B4154 and signposted for Aldridge
After around 0.5 – 0.75 miles go over the canal bridge.
The ground entrance is down a track on your right immediately opposite the Royal Oak pub, last season the pub was closed down, so may not be there now.
There is parking at the ground but I seem to remember that they wanted to charge you to park on the car park last season.
Stourbridge Monday 7th November, Kick off 7.45pm
War Memorial Athletic Ground High Street Amblecote Stourbridge DY8 4HN
Head down the M6, towards Birmingham, exit M6 at the Junction of the M5 near Walsall, signposted The South West
Leave the M5 at Junction 3 and take the A456 towards Stourbridge and Kidderminster. In about five miles, turn right at traffic lights in Hagley to pick up the A491 into Stourbridge, then follow the A491 through Pedmore and Oldswinford onto the Stourbridge Ring-Road (one-way). Follow the ring-road round past the Crystal Leisure Centre and Tesco Extra on your right and then get in the left-hand lane signposted for Wolverhampton A491. As the ring-road dips, take the A491 exit and in about 400 yards the ground shortly come into view on the left hand side of the road by a new housing development.
