HALESOWEN TOWN - MATCH PREVIEW
Skelmersdale United this week face Halesowen Town in the Northern Premier League, it will be the first Home game for new Manager Alan Rogers.
Last weekend saw the new boss take charge for the first time and although they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Whitby , there were many positives taken from the game. United fielded at least 7 lads under the age of 18 and with Whitby chasing automatic promotion it was a real test for the youngsters.
Rogers is hoping to bring in a couple of players this week, with a bit of experience that will help the youngsters along.
Halesowen are also struggling at the wrong end of the table and Alan Rogers expects another tough game. Kick off at the Uretek Stadium is 3pm.
Chairman Paul Griffiths has said "Yes, we are down at the wrong end of the table, but we do believe that Alan can turn around the clubs fortunes, We would hope that the footballing loving Supporters of Skem can rally round and give the youngsters some much needed encouragement"
