MATCH PREVIEW - HEDNESFORD TOWN
Skelmersdale United face a difficult away games this weekend, but after a good performances last weekend they will be looking forward to the game with feelings of optimism.
Skelmersdale lost 2-1 at home Halesowen Town but Alan Rogers much changed side showed more than enough to send the Skelmersdale supporters down the M6 to Hednesford this Saturday with positive thoughts and were unlucky to lose.
Hednesford could be said to have underachieved this season and are now on their third manager since August, they lie in 12th position in the Evo-Stik Premier Division table on 44 points from 30 games. Hednesford won 3-1 at the Uretek Stadium earlier in the season, but it certainly could be argued that on the day they were less than convincing winners.
Skelmersdale have brought in 31 year old striker Steve Gillespie, a man who can boast Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Colchester United among former clubs, he has scored a lot of goals around the Football League and reportedly changed hands for around £400,000 when joining Colchester.
