Skem were much better today because they stuck to the task and didn't give up, as was the case last week. Lee Parle was back and played well, Kenny wore number 2 and looked happier, the new 11, who's name I didn't catch, looks a very good footballer.

We lost the game, in my opinion because although Parle returned and broke things up, he lacked a midfield partner who could drive the team forward and of course we defended badly for both goals.

Rob McIntosh was brilliant today, especially second half and the score could well have been worse but for him.

I'm sorry if our captain was upset by my earlier comments but I stand by everything I said last week and if I am paying to watch a team, the very least I am entitled to is an opinion. I have played sport at a reasonably high level and tried to answer my critics on the pitch. I've lost count of the number of scousers who have told me Andy Carroll isn't good enough to wear a red shirt.

The only reason for posting on here Is because I care about Skem, we have the basis of a very good team, but they need someone to pick them up and inspire them, if they are going to make the play offs.

It is obvious to us all by now that you do not rate a certain player. You have made your point regarding that so why keep going over the same ground ? All players and all teams go through bad phases and Skem as a team are certainly going through a bad patch at the moment. I personally believe that we peaked last season and will not reach those heights again for a long time if ever but that is understandable because we do not have the same personnel. The fact that out of the top 15 teams in the league only one team (Durham) has conceeded more goals tells us where the problems lay. We are not defending well but we are not defending well as a team and no one player is to blame!

okay fair enough the team are not performing and todays game we at times got outplayed by a poor ossett team and that says it all we are struggling against poor sides but hopefully we can start to pick up are performances against much better oppostion cause thats when good teams raise there games against better sides who are fightimg for what we want which is promtion..
going throught todays team
ashton- done okay not at fault for either goals
kenny- poor kept giving the ball away
louis- bright first half struggled second half
bukey- got turned for the first goal and was throughout poor
rob- solid performance but at times was givig the ball easily
paul w - done well when on the ball but never got on the ball until went centre mid
lee- worked hard
phil- gave the ball away alot but worked hard
smiler- poor might as well not of been on the pitch just plays when he wants to.. usless and is not a team player
shaun - worked hard some good touches but not much service but worked his socks off
new sighning - done okay great fisnish but overall not much
and thats what i thought of how the team done.. showed some good phases of play but overall just not good enough we need to ship some players out and bring some quality players in who have got plenty of fight to get us out of this league ..
DEFENCE- got no organisation
MIDFIELD - go no creative spark
BUT LETS ALL KEEP TOGETHER AND SUPPORT WHATEVER TEAM IS PLAYING CAUSE YOU CAN SEE THEY ARE PLAYING WITH NO CONFIEDNCE SO LETS GET THE TEAM THROUGH THIS TOUGH PATCH CAUSE WE CANT BE A POOR TEAM OVER NIGHT

On a personal note. It doesnt matter how well a team is doing or even how badly, or which ever team you support every supporter will have a different view on certain players. Yorkshire blue obviously has a dislike for Burkey,
there were some a few years ago who thought Aaron Turner wasnt worth his place in the team !!! (ha ha ha what a joke)

It is obvious we have problems at the moment but I would tell all of the supporters and players I wouldnt change anything.
We have had four years of success and been blessed with some extra ordinary performances over that time, this after a period of nearly 30 years with bugger all to show, In some cases the supporters went home delirious if we got a draw.

Like previous posters have said we all need to Stand together on this one, maybe we wont reach the play offs, IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. We regroup and go again next year.

However I still think we have one or two tricks up our sleeve and just about make those play offs yet again
(we will not win the league that is certain )

Mightyskem an honest and accurate performance assessment. The defence has no organisation ( no Ackrigg ) midfield no creativity ( no turner ) and the attack no service.
Let's hope the 'tricks up our sleeve' pop out of the magic bag very soon !

Yorkshire blue, don't know who you are but really don't get your drift, how is any of what you saying helping any of the players performance or confidence, you obviously know that the players browse on here, and it must be plainly clear that you have already been told by the club captain that if you have any gripes then to go and have a chat with him
, but yet you decide to post another load of nonsense about the team, I've known tommy a long time and Brian, and I know plain and simply that they will get a winning team together, 8 top players left the club at the end of last season and all moved higher up the football pyramid, you should be proud of that in itself, and if you were a real fan I think you would be. My point is every Skem fan has been spoilt with good football and a good team every season that tommys been in charge, things could be a lot worse, look at the way clubs like Prescott and burscough and camel lairds have gone from over the years. Back the manager and the team.

The finger pointer has not come up with any solutions though in their scything comments! What does that tell us?

They think they know what they are talking about. But what is sure they obviously can't do it or they would be in a dugout somewhere else on a matchday

Constructive observations are always usefull but slagging off gets nowhere

Now I don't profess to have any answers but I will be here at Skem when it comes good

ok we heard all this last week,can we change the record now please & do what a supporter supposed to do "SUPPORT" the team!!!

we need to have a rant every now an again but banging on about the same thing week in week out gets a bit boring!!!(i've been guilty of it in the past,but i'm a good boy now)!
