Droylsden Home 23rd March
United will face old foes Droylsden this coming Saturday 23rd March,at Volair Park, Prescot.
Our games against the reds go back over 60 years, with United having the advantage in previous fixtures. Of the 40 games played between the two sides United have won 22 compared to 12 for the Bloods
Paul McNally will be looking to continue that trend as his young side look for 3 more points to try to get themselves of the foot of the table
With 8 games to go United are 7 points adrift of Kendal and a further 4 behind Clitheroe. With Colwyn Bay having decided to move to the League Of Wales, it leaves only one team dropping down at the end of the season, so its still all to fight for.
Paul said "We have not given up the ghost, there are still a lot of points to play for and we have some very winnable matches coming up. I urge the people of Skelmersdale to get down and give the lads a shout. Their is progress being made on our return to Skem and it would be great if we could still be in the NPL."
The Under 16s, will play the re arranged fixture from last week that was called off because of the weather, they will entertain AFC Kirkby in a title decider, Kick off 10.45am Buckley Hill. www.pitchero.com/clubs/skelmersdaleunited/news/big-game-for-under-16s-afc-kirkby-sunday-17th-marc-2406695.html
