Very shocked to hear this news! Paul's a character on and off the pitch! His experience and attitude second to none! Every dressing room needs a Paul Byrne! Shouldn't of been allowed to leave IMO!

Let's be fair about this
Paul needs to be fully match fit it was a serious injury
He can get this at Bootle and they are chasing promotion so it's not a case of going through the motions
A big risk for Tommy, the club needs every 3 points it can get
