Paul byrne- A massive under achievement for Skem FC, to finish 7th place and 24 points behind the winners AFC Fylde. I am absolutely gutted for the lads because they dont deserve this. The squad is more than good enough and there was no big money club to stop Skem winning the league this season (an excuse that has been uesd regularly over the years). You will say AFC Fylde but they went threw a really bad patch and they were completely out of it, hence a new manager coming in. Skem have one of the best wage budgets in the division. It will be interesting to see what the excuses will be, all i can say is watch your back lads. Last season we finished joint top with Chester FC and we lost out on goal difference, we were devastated, so i cant imagine how the lads are feeling today. Lads i do not blame you for this poor season. The manager wants all of Warringtons players, well hes got a Warrington finish. Before i finish the answer is yes, i am still hurting over the way i was treated by the manager and the club. Byrno.

That was not a personal attack on louis corrigon, tom hardwick, tony hickey or duffy, it was a dig at the manager.

The squad that finished the season were prepared to stand up and be counted
They accepted that others were better and fitter that their selves they just got on with it
Unlike some who spat their dummies out when they didn't play PS how's life in NWC league didn't see you playing much in it Left back held his from what I saw

owd skemmer you havent got a clue, it is nothing to do with the lads being not good enough or being unfit. Trust me that bunch of players are more than good enough to win that league. On a personal note im fully fit now and already i have had offers to go back into the evostick premier division.

byrno i totally agree players have been bought in from warrington and we have ended up finishing in a postion that warrington wud b happy with so lets get on the to the fact of these players from warrington
louis corrigan - decent player scored some good goals but overall think he will become a very good playerand he is stillvery young got plenty of time to develop.
anthony hickey- not much seen of him yet but by looking at his record playing up top he can score goals and looks like a hand full .
tom hardwick- 3rd time at the club and is skipper now but over the last two games i have watched he has been at fault for some goals durham at home 3 went over his head and then yesterday the striker peeled off him into the run up to the goal and left himself to much ground to make up to put a block to there winninhg goal.
mike duffy - 2nd time at club and he has only started a few games but what i saw of him last time top quality full back and at this level you dont get many full backs would go forward as much as him but he has only been here for final 6 games so cant wait to see if he stays next season .
And we let the season go in december lost to many games and the manager did bring in to many players in short peroid of time and i would of liked to see tony rendall playing alot more and should of played yesterday instead of tom hardwick bit of pace and power.
but good to hear from you paul and good luck you worked ever so hard for us take care

As i stated skemhead i am not blaming the players or the lads that have came in from warrington. when i wrote the initial statement i had to send a second post because it does look like im blaming the warrington lads. louis corrigon is a very good player and i have been impressed with him ever since he came to the club. Anthony Hickey is a very good player and i know this from playing against him. Tom Hardwick vey good solid defender, i have knew Tom for years. Duffy, another very good defender. I do not blame these lads for a poor seaseon, I BLAME THE MANAGER.

Paul I and many other supporters appreciated the performances you put in for the club, knowing that you gave your all.
Your criticism of the manager/club is unjustified, you now say yourself that you are just returning to full fitness (see your post above," im fully fit now and already i have had offers to go back into the evostick premier division".) With your injury keeping you out for so long it is only within reason that ANY manager would look to find a replacement. From your comments you have had time to train and get a few matches under your belt without to much pressure and are now fit enough to go back to a higher standard. I think the management at Skem should be congratulated on giving you that chance.
And good luck to you in the future

Paul, i don't think anyone is to blame not even the manager,if anything is to blame it's the fact we've never had a fully fit team on the pitch in any game we've played & to be fair to win or even get in to the play off's you need at least a fairly full fit team for at least half a season to get that kind of result,,,hence why players have been coming, going & sitting on the bench!!!
& Paul you i thought would be the person to have seen that first hand considering that's what happened to you!!!
so all in all i thing we've not had that bad of a season!!!
Paul i like your style of football & i wish you well in the future but this thread is a personal jib & sour grapes at the manager for the way you where treated by him, nothing more & has no purpose on here,,,all it dose is make you sound like a nasty person & i don't think your that one bit!!!

Best way to prove a manager wrong is to do your talking on the pitch.

Kev i have got myself back to full fitness on my own mate, threw on the scrapheap because the manager thinks its a bad injury and ill never play again. I had to go and pay to see the Morcombe FC physio to help me threw a really hard time, and you expect me to thank the manager. The manager expects loyalty from his players and its a pity he doesnt give it back, ask spud, he went threw exactly the same thing. I would never play for that man again and i dont care if i ever speak to him again. Chris your right in a way mate, this is sour grapes and your right im not a nasty person. Blaming this poor season on injuries is a cop out tho, there was only me, olly and burkey who had bad injuries, the manager has swapped and changed players all season, its been like a conveyor belt, Just look at the number of lads who have come and gone. The squad should be sorted pre season, thats what its for. I wish the club all the very best and i always will, just not the manager. This is my last post, if i offended anyone im sorry.(besides the manager)

why go to Morcombe fc physio Paul what's wrong with our physio's?
injury's is no cop out,,,it like trying to win an F1 race with only 8 of the 10 cylinders firing,,,you can complete the race but your not going to win it or even come 7th!!!
the lads have done their best with all the injury's they've had & that's all we can ask for!!!
