As Im quite sure most of you know, Im writing a book on the History of Skem Utd
Have any of you got any stories regarding your trips to Wembley ?. other stories from your time watching Skem !!
Did you go on the train ?, who did you go with ?, Anything funny happen ?
It could be just a line or two or even a paragraph, anything that might be considered for publication.
One from me
On an away trip in the Amateur Cup, unknown destination but it was somewhere in the hills. The coach we were travelling on was having great difficulty getting up quite a steep section, when all of a sudden smoke started billowing out of the front, the coach pulled over and everyone piled off. Some men on the bus, seizing an opportunity for a quick "burst" jumped over a wall and ended up 30 yards down a grassy embankment. We must have had a mechanic out or someone sorted it because we made the game.
I wish I could remember where we was going to and who the blokes where who ended up shocked when they jumped the wall !! any ideas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a Wembley memory - it was before then...
We went on the players coach up to Lancaster City. After the game the fog came down very thick. It was difficult finding the way back to the M6. Anyway, Colin Bridge got off the coach with a white hankie to direct the driver (it was that bad). After about 30 minutes of Colin walking infront of the caoch, we realised that we had gone past the same garage three times.

Getting banned (again) from playing for the school team because I went to the Leatherhead semi final instead. Being disappointed because Wembley wasn't as good as it looked on the telly. Climbing trees outside the town hall to see the homecoming. My dads mate Tommy disappearing for about 10 minutes then coming back with bruised shins, said he'd been fighting with some Dagenham fans at the back of our section. Getting back to the supporter's club after the coach trip, having a sly drink of my dad's mild when he wasn't looking.....then spitting it out in disgust! Should be a couple of good Droylsden at home tales eh kev
