Todays game was a tough match against tough opposition. Could of had 2 or 3 though. Also Attendance was 163. I don't think Skem Utd do enough to Advertise fixtures. Could put Posters in the Concourse. Could Hand out Leaflets and put. An advertisement in the Local Papers.

One for Josh Hine and maybe another and a selection of "Events" take a look at the one after 55 seconds 19 goals in twenty games I suppose he is allowed one mistake......and boy was it !! Quote of the day Clitheroe supporter "We are not bothered, we are not going to win the FA Cup" Skem fan "Skem are going to win it this year" Clitheroe supporter "Not playing like that your not"

Thought the defence played well today, Rob McIntosh was tremendous he never missed a header, my man of the match. Everton & Liverpool not playing today, the sun shines, it's nice and warm, only 160 odd turn up, how many will turn up in the winter months ?? GR

Golfromeo I think that the fact that it was "a sunny day" could have effected the attendance, we have had no summer and quite a few would have made the most of the lovely day. I for one was supposed to go to the Lakes.
Do agree that there needs to be more done regards publicity, but where do you go ? It is mentioned in the local press and I dont think putting posters up in the Conny is the answer.
Ideally we could have offered half price to season ticket holders of Everton, Liverpool, Wigan etc but I dont think the FA would allow for their Cup competition.
I just think we now have to face facts and realise that the days of near 300 supporters are gone for the time being. Shame

I am under the impression that we have a new commercial manager. Can he not do more to publicise the games There are plenty of places to put up posters, surely it wouldn't take long to run round with a dozen or so to make people aware of our commitment to the community in fielding a better than average team. Remember we are still in the FA Cup, and with our strengths and depths we could go far. BUT WE DO NEED SUPPORT. Our FA Trophy run starts this week, so let's get behind the team and give them our support.

Dave will print you a poster/s to put up in your local shop if you so wish!
the buck doesn't always stop with the staff/committee YOU the supporter can do your part as well!!!
the staff/committee are busy trying to keep the club a float,so don't always have time to put posters up in every shop/etc in skem, a bit of help from other supporters wouldn't go a miss ether,so instead of moaning about it do something about it!!!!

Hi Skemhead you might be right about advertising the games however, they are in the local paper and the concourse, leaflets we do but we work as wellso help is always needed to distribute them, we have permission from a lot of local shops but cant always find the time to get them there, COULD YOU HELP OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER! have you got half anhour to spare. Let me know 07976738551 or post here.

Totally agree with S/B2 and Griffo regarding advertising of our games , we also need to get behind our new weekly draw which will generate a lot of much needed funds for the club, for only £1 a week you could win £500 pound per day monday to friday and up to £5000 at the weekend, donations can be made either through your Bank or cash can be given at a pound per week, if you need any further information please dont hesitate to ask myself Norman Fenney, Chairman Paul Griffiths or any other commitee member ,I look forward to hearing from you Kind Regards Norman
