I have had several enquiries about the game at Burscough this coming Tuesday. Just to confirm that providing neither team makes a draw in the FA Trophy tomorrow this game WILL go ahead.

In response Christopher's posting above I would like to point out that Neil Leatherbarrow, who made the posting about the game being called off, is a Director of Skelmersdale United Football Club with a lead role for publicity matters. Therefore the respective posting was made from an official perspective. I hope my posting clarifies the official club publicity situation for you.

I cant see a posting by Neil stating the game being called off,on this unofficial site or on the official site. Just to clarify the comments above. I received a phone call telling me the game was off at 18.38, I then texted as many people as I could (I sent around 25 texts). That took me to 18. 49 (I know all this because I have just checked the text times on my phone). I would then would have had to boot up my computer (it was switched off because I was ready to go to the match myself) which takes at least 5 or 7 minutes. So it would probably have been 7 o'clock before anybody would have or arguably could have read any website message. By which time most people travelling to Burscough would have set off. So I deemed it a pointless exercise. I am sorry if that put anyone to inconvenience, but it was the best I could do at the time. For future reference, I run a group text system on my phone, if anybody wants to be on it ask me (but that will probably mean you get texts whilst at Skem games, which some don't like).
