Graham, the Mole has vanished !! with all the Verti Drain pounding, and the spikes going ten inches into the pitch, he made sure he was not around !! I believe Warrington have put seven day's notice on him !!

After a very constructive, and busy week, down here at the ground, a huge amount of work has been completed, thanks to a terrific volunteer turn out last Monday !!
The fencing around the ground is almost complete (to stop spectators standing on the grass banking) and all the necessary ground grading work should be finished before the League's visit on Tuesday March 27th. The pitch is looking good, with the fertiliser now showing a good green colour, the rain tomorrow and Sunday should give it a good "kick start" !! for our home game v. Lancaster City on Saturday, and Liverpool Ladies v. Arsenal on Sunday.
Once again, I would like to thank all the volunteers who have helped this week, it was greatly appreciated.
Oh, and by the way, a message to Graham, the "Mole" has gone on to pastures new !! I caught him !!

The weather has been excellent this week, just require a good downpour !! may have to water the pitch over the next few days !!
The Ground Grading work has come to a halt this week, due to lack of volunteers/help, with the remaining work still to be completed by next Monday, it is not looking good !!
I am requesting for ( the last time) a huge effort to be made over the remaining days, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, to complete all this work !! I presume you all know the consequences, and the outcome, if these jobs are not finished !! and believe me it will happen !! so it is down to as many volunteers as possible to turn up at the ground and put in a good shift !! I know some of you have work commitments to fulfil, but if we have to, we will be working after hours, under the floodlights, if required !!
I will be at the ground over the next four days, and will not be going to the game at Ossett, due to the above work load, let's hope we have a good turn out, and all the work is not left to the usual three or four people. !! the future of this Football Club is in your own hands, please use them !!

Am I correct in thinking if the the grade is not met we could be playing in North West Counties football?

Correct !! just the thought of N.W.C. football here next season, may instil some sort of reaction !! but after all the request's I have made over the last nine seasons for volunteers, I am not holding my breath !! we will see !! this is your last chance everyone out there !!

Many thanks, Graham see you tomorrow.
Good working day down at the ground, many more jobs completed, I would like to thank Nick, and Tony, for their unstinting attitude, and work ethic, for this Football Club, they put a lot of effort into whatever they are asked to do !! many, many, thanks boy's !! it is greatly appreciated.
If anyone out there has any spare time, I will be at the ground on Sat/Sun/Mon to (with a bit of luck, and help) finish off all the outstanding jobs, required for our Ground Inspection on Tuesday morning.

Am I correct in thinking if the the grade is not met we could be playing in North West Counties football? if they put us back into the NWC through our ground grading then other clubs should follow,we don't have the worst ground in our league!!! "UNITED WE STAND"

Got to say although the job Peter, Neville & myself have done today was back breaking & extremely hard work. The company was fantastic & we had a great laugh. Thank you Peter & Neville. Big thank you must also go to Karen for the ice cold fluids that were very much needed. Good day & worth missing 1 game I think. See you tomorrow Peter & the rest of you!!

Graham, you are spot on with your comments !! Neville, and yourself, worked like "Trojans" what you did today was exceptional !!
These two guy's started off clearing the weeds and debris between the paving all around the ground, and finished four hours later, with every weed and blade of grass GONE !! it was like starting the M62 at Hull, and finishing at the Rocket Junction in Liverpool !!
Whilst this mammoth task was in progress, Neville appears, to have lost part of one of his fingers !! so if any of you find a finger crawling around the Stadium, you know who it belongs to !! he was last seen wobbling off on his bike, in a right state, after consuming, I don't know how many pints !!
On Sunday, there will be "Sausage Butties Galore" !! for all the volunteers who turn up !! but don't forget there is still work to be done !! (whilst Liverpool Ladies play their friendly game )see you tomorrow.
